Front: Lambs don't become lions. Back: The Lion was always the Lamb. — Revelation 5:5–6
I used to run a ministry whose motto was printed on everything: Where lambs become lions. We meant it beautifully. It was also exactly backwards.
In Revelation 5, John is told to behold the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He turns, and what he sees is a Lamb, standing, as though it had been slain. The Lion didn't graduate out of the Lamb. The Lamb is what He is, forever, at the center of the throne. That changes what winning looks like.
